Nepal creates history by becoming the first team to score 300 in a men’s T20I international.

Nepal playing against Mongolia created some big records today. They became the first team to score 300 runs in a men’s T20I international. And they posted a gigantic total of 314 against the Mongolian team in the ongoing Asian Games. It was the men’s cricket opener of the Asian Games at the Zhejiang University for Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field in Hangzhou.
Nepal team star batsman Kushal Malla scored the most runs for his team, where he hit an outstanding 137 not out in just 50 balls, which included 12 sixes and 8 fours. Supporting him was his batting partner, Dipendra Singh, who, along with him, hit eight sixes in 10 balls and scored an unbeaten 52. And with his unbeaten 52, he broke the record of Yuvraj Singh for the fastest fifty in the men’s T20i format.
Nepal scored an outstanding 314/3, which is the highest-ever total in a men’s T20I international game. And with this score, they overtook Afghanistan’s previous record of 278/3 against Ireland, which came in 2019. Team Nepal also hit a total of 26 sixes in their innings, which is now the most by a team in an international T20I innings, again breaking Afghanistan’s old record from 2019 against Ireland.
Nepal team star batsman Kushal Malla scored a ton, which he hit in just 34 balls, which is now the fastest century in this format. He broke the previous 35-ball record for the fastest T20i century, which was held by Rohit Sharma and David Miller.
Nepal team captain Rohit Paudel started the onslaught for his side as he scored 61 in just 27 balls with six sixes in his innings. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has also confirmed that all the matches played at the Asian Games have been granted T20I status, making it an official record in the ICC records.
Team Nepal didn’t have quite a good start as they took off slowly to begin their innings in the Asian Games at the Zhejiang University of Technology Cricket Field in Hangzhou, when both openers played at a strike rate lower than 100. Their star batsman, Malla, gave them a solid start as he scored an outstanding 193-run stand with the team’s captain, Rohit Paudel, who scored 61 runs in just 27 balls. And later came their batsman, Dipendra, who gave their innings a finishing touch when he hit an outstanding 50 and broke Yuvraj Singh’s fastest 50 in a T20i record as well.
